Job Purpose: The Executive Administrative Assistant provides direct executive-level administrative and operational support to the CNSG-C TRIAD within the Office of Commander, Naval Surface Group Central (CNSG-C) at Naval Support Activity Bahrain. This role supports leadership by managing schedules, coordinating communications, preparing reports and correspondence, and ensuring administrative processes run efficiently. The position also supports personnel management processes, executive communications, and coordination across multiple commands and organizations to facilitate effective decision-making and mission execution.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct administrative and executive support to the CNSG-C TRIAD, managing schedules, correspondence, and office operations.
Compose and prepare official correspondence, reports, and briefing materials while ensuring proper formatting and document control.
Maintain electronic filing systems and document repositories to ensure records are organized and easily retrievable.
Develop and maintain databases used for tracking program statistics and administrative actions.
Provide administrative briefings and participate in meetings to keep leadership informed of new or updated administrative policies, procedures, and requirements.
Coordinate personnel management administrative actions including goal updates, interim reviews, and final performance evaluations.
Interpret Department of Defense policies and guidance to support leadership communications, coordination, and collaboration.
Plan and execute administrative assignments independently using office automation tools and systems to produce reports, spreadsheets, briefs, and presentations.
Support administrative planning and coordination efforts across CNSG-C to implement DoD administrative initiatives.
Receive and manage visitors and incoming communications, directing requests to appropriate staff or providing information on routine administrative matters.
Serve as a focal point for official visit coordination and parking requests for TRIAD personnel when visiting other installations.
Develop communication strategies to support senior military and civilian leadership engagement.
Use diplomacy and professionalism when interacting with internal and external leadership, staff, and stakeholders.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum two (2) years of experience in administrative or executive support roles.
Prior Navy Yeoman (YN) or Personnel Specialist (PS) experience with executive administrative support is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to work directly with senior military or executive leadership in government or industry environments.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Experience preparing white papers, correspondence, reports, and executive briefings.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and administrative databases.
Experience using Navy administrative systems such as Defense Travel System (DTS), Salesforce, eNAVFIT, Navy Personnel Command Document Services, and NDAWS.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex policies and procedures clearly.
Knowledge of administrative file management, document processing, and records tracking systems.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced operational environment.
