Purpose: The Reprographic Technician will manage the operation and maintenance of the Sterling Building Copy Center and its satellite copiers. This role involves handling high-speed and mid-volume digital machines, a color copier, and ensuring all equipment is maintained in optimal working condition. The technician serves as a central point of contact for copier support and plays a key role in maintaining the smooth operation of reprographic and mailroom services.
Responsibilities:
Manage the operation and maintenance of the Sterling Building Copy Center and all satellite copiers, including high-speed, mid-volume, and color multifunction devices.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all copier-related support across 21 self-service machines within the facility.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all equipment, including cleaning glass surfaces, replenishing toner and paper, and ensuring proper functionality.
Coordinate and maintain service agreements with vendors (e.g., Xerox, Canon), including scheduling repairs, submitting service requests, and utilizing vendor support platforms.
Operate and maintain reprographic equipment, including binding and finishing tools, to produce high-quality deliverables.
Prioritize and manage incoming work requests, adjusting workloads to meet changing priorities and ensure timely completion of assignments.
Implement and maintain a quality control process to ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency of all completed work.
Track and record monthly meter readings for all copiers and maintain accurate usage logs using online systems or manual reporting methods.
Generate and submit weekly and monthly reports, including equipment usage, production volume, and technical support provided to customers.
Safeguard all sensitive and proprietary documents in accordance with government regulations, including proper handling, storage, and destruction of materials.
Provide general administrative and clerical support, including answering phones, managing deliveries, and maintaining inventory of printed materials.
Assist with government vehicle coordination, including checkout, fueling, and basic maintenance as needed.
Perform mailroom operations, including sorting, metering, distributing, and preparing express mail shipments.
Provide responsive customer support and technical assistance to internal stakeholders, ensuring high levels of service and issue resolution.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
