Data Officer

  • Conduct internal assessment of agency’s capabilities, particularly expanding collections of demographic information while protecting privacy and safeguarding PII information; facilitating intersectional analysis; and reducing duplicative reporting requirements; and issue a report with findings and recommendations.
  • Oversee and follow up FY22 DEIA data assessment, which is expected to include an analysis of available data to measure demographic representation and trends related to diversity in the agency’s overall workforce composition and employment cycle (recruitment, hiring, retention, advancement, promotion, separation), among other things.
  • Develop and implement a roadmap with short and long-term- activities to drive success and compliance, identifying, potential barriers and opportunities for improvement, and specific priority areas for internal action.
  • Lead efforts to establish an ACF-wide Data and Barrier Analysis Work Group to develop strategies and action steps to upgrade infrastructure to fully identify areas where barriers may be excluding certain EEO groups; and to improve agency’s ability to assess monitor EEO progress.
  • Participate in HHS efforts to address Department-wide issues with data integrity and accuracy that have an impact on the agency’s barrier analysis efforts.
  • Design and implement data collection and analysis training, to develop a cadre of data-savvy staff at ACF.
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 5 years’ experience in a data management role
