Microsoft Power Platform Specialist

Job Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Power Platform Specialist to support the analysis, optimization, and oversight of our organization’s information systems. This role focuses on improving operational efficiency, security, and performance through the effective use of Microsoft 365 tools—especially Excel, SharePoint, Power Platform, Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange.


Key responsibilities include analyzing data, identifying areas for process improvement, maintaining inventory and credential records, and assisting in the use and enhancement of the Warehouse Management Information System (WMIS). This role requires a balance of technical expertise and strong communication skills to support collaboration, data management, and business automation across the enterprise. The role requires the employee to work 100% onsite and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project managers to understand analytical needs and maintain focus on critical metrics, KPIs, and performance indicators.
  • Proactively analyze data to provide actionable insights, identifying trends that impact business efficiency and productivity.
  • Design and maintain interactive visualizations and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI, incorporating data from multiple sources.
  • Define and implement scalable data acquisition and integration strategies using approved tools and technologies.
  • Develop and maintain databases by collecting data from primary and secondary sources; write scripts to automate and optimize data processing.
  • Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel features, including Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA macros, dynamic arrays, and custom charts.
  • Build and manage automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to streamline business processes.
  • Leverage Microsoft Dataverse and SharePoint for data storage, integration, and collaboration solutions.
  • Design and deploy custom forms and surveys using Microsoft Forms and Power Apps to support user engagement and data collection.
  • Integrate Microsoft Teams and Outlook with dashboards and automated task tracking for seamless collaboration.
  • Manage secure file storage and data access through Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint, including permission and access control.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 environments, including user management, collaboration tools, and data loss prevention measures.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles.
  • Proven experience with database design, data segmentation techniques, and analytics.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel, with an aptitude for learning additional analytics tools.
  • Experience with programming frameworks such as XML, JavaScript, and ETL processes.
  • Hands-on experience with statistical tools and packages such as Excel, SPSS, and SAS.
  • Strong technical writing skills for creating queries, reports, documentation, and presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to mine, evaluate, and visualize data to inform business decisions.
