Job Purpose: The position requires editing and conducting quality reviews of all manner of documents to include reports, budget spreadsheets, presentations, talking points, and briefs for internal dissemination, distribution to senior management, and stakeholders outside of the Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management (FECM). This position may require the individual to not only review reports, but also draft reports, talking points, PowerPoint presentations, etc. Responsibilities:
Support the FECM mission in mitigating the environmental impacts of fossil fuels and meeting the Administration’s net zero carbon emissions goal.
Review and edit various technical documents for FECM content accuracy, format, style and consistent messaging.
Analyze data and apply FECM Research, Development and Demonstration (RD&D) technical editing knowledge.
Effectively collaborate with various technical specialists and leadership.
Education/Experience: MA or MS degree in writing or a relevant field, preferably in communications or policy, with expertise in climate and energy issues. Five or more years of work experience required.
