Job Purpose: The Junior Metrics & Data Analyst – Logistics Support provides analytical, logistics, and material management support to ensure effective supply chain operations and readiness for naval units. This role supports warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics coordination while developing and maintaining metrics databases to track naval programs and logistics performance indicators. The position assists leadership by analyzing material readiness data, tracking supply requirements, and generating reports and presentations that support operational decision-making and fleet readiness.
Responsibilities:
Provide logistics and warehouse administrative support including inventory control, receiving, shipping, and material distribution.
Perform inventory management functions including requirements determination, acquisition, local purchases, status tracking, distribution, accountability, retention, and disposal.
Restock materials, research supply requirements, prepare shipping documentation, and coordinate depot-level repairable shipments and carcass processing.
Act as a logistics liaison with fleet units to coordinate supply support, resolve logistics issues, and communicate supply procedures and requirements.
Identify material shortages, track supply requirements, and expedite parts for supported units.
Provide shipboard logistics support including onboard inventories and material readiness verification.
Develop and maintain databases to track and report metrics related to CNO Availability and CMAV completions.
Develop program metrics to evaluate logistics and material support program effectiveness.
Develop, update, and maintain CNO Availability and CMAV trend reports and provide analysis and recommendations.
Conduct root cause analysis for CNO Availability extensions, delays, and new work; maintain databases to track findings and mitigation strategies.
Extract data from multiple Navy systems and databases such as LogiQuest, One Touch, Haystack, and shipboard CSMPs for analysis.
Generate analytical reports, charts, graphs, and PowerPoint presentations summarizing findings and recommended actions.
Track key material assets and support optimal forward-staged material levels for LCS platforms based on historical data and demand trends.
Coordinate with modernization managers to track modernization installation impacts and return on investment (ROI) for alterations.
Maintain and manage metrics and analysis databases and ensure compatibility with the Command Readiness Dashboard.
Support planning initiatives including warehouse reorganization, receiving procedure improvements, and warehouse management system implementations.
Validate Allowance Parts Listing (APL) and Allowance Equipment List (AEL) requirements to ensure accurate stock allowances.
Coordinate hazardous material on-load and off-load operations in compliance with environmental and safety standards.
Maintain oversight of pre-positioned high-value materials supporting mission-essential requirements for homeported ships.
Provide logistics support to homeported and visiting ships within the Area of Responsibility (AOR), including material shipping to CONUS locations.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience with Navy warehousing, supply support operations, and material management procedures.
Strong knowledge of logistics systems including LogiQuest, One Touch, Haystack, and CASREP tracking.
Experience developing and maintaining metrics databases and performing data analysis for logistics and readiness reporting.
Experience tracking modernization installation operational impacts and return on investment for alterations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Experience using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) for data automation and reporting.
Knowledge of warehouse operations including shipping documentation preparation, inventory tracking, and material distribution.
Experience supporting warehouse planning initiatives, including re-warehousing and warehouse management system implementation.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Active Secret security clearance required.
