Job Purpose: The Print Shop Production Specialist supports a secure government facility by operating high-volume digital printers and print-shop equipment to produce high-quality documents, brochures, posters, and other printed materials. This role requires strong technical skills with production printers and finishing equipment, close coordination with OEM technicians, and strict adherence to security requirements, as all work is performed onsite in a secure environment requiring TS/SCI clearance with counterintelligence polygraph.
Responsibilities:
Operate a Xerox 9070 series color production printer or similar equipment, including associated computers and Fiery systems, to print/copy multiple types of documents.
Operate the CANON C850 printer to support production of a wide range of printed materials.
Use print shop equipment (Triumph Paper Cutter, Challenge Drill, Bostitch Stapler, Baum Folder, Spiral Bind Machine) to assemble and finish documents.
Produce single- and double-sided brochures, reference documents, posters, photos, and badges for meetings, in both digital and hardcopy formats as requested.
Perform additional print shop duties such as padding paper, hand collating, folding, laminating, scanning, and related finishing tasks.
Work with CANON/Xerox analysts and technicians to ensure equipment is operating properly and receives required maintenance and upgrades.
Support delivery and retrieval of office documents and ensure print jobs are completed accurately and on schedule.
Handle all materials in accordance with security, confidentiality, and quality standards.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Active TS/SCI clearance with counterintelligence polygraph.
Experience operating Xerox 9070 series color production printers or similar high-volume production printers, including Fiery or comparable print controllers.
Experience with CANON C850 printers and operation of print shop equipment such as Triumph Paper Cutter, Challenge Drill, Bostitch Stapler, Baum Folder, and Spiral Bind Machine.
Demonstrated experience producing a variety of printed products (brochures, reference documents, posters, photos) in both digital and hardcopy formats.
Prior experience performing print shop tasks such as cutting, binding, folding, laminating, collating, and scanning.
Ability to work onsite in a secure facility and follow strict security, safety, and quality procedures.
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to manage multiple print requests and deadlines.
Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with government staff, analysts, and vendor technicians.
