Job Purpose: The Senior Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all logistics operations to ensure the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment in support of project objectives. This role ensures seamless communication and collaboration among contractors, subcontractors, and government representatives while maintaining strict compliance with safety, security, and federal standards.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee all logistics activities to ensure materials, equipment, and personnel are properly managed across all project sites.
Serve as the primary liaison between contractors, subcontractors, and government representatives to ensure smooth communication and alignment of objectives.
Develop, implement, and maintain logistics plans, schedules, and procedures to support mission requirements.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the receipt, storage, transfer, and distribution of materials and equipment.
Maintain oversight of inventory management, ensuring compliance with accountability and tracking requirements.
Monitor performance of third-party logistics vendors and contractors to ensure adherence to quality, cost, and delivery standards.
Provide guidance and oversight to logistics staff, promoting efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement.
Review and validate documentation for shipping, receiving, and material movements in compliance with federal and contractual requirements.
Analyze existing logistics workflows and identify opportunities to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Ensure all logistics activities comply with OSHA, MHE, and Forklift safety standards and company policies.
Support the setup and breakdown of events, facilities, and project-related installations as required.
Provide timely responses to customer service requests and ensure issues are resolved effectively.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in logistics management, including oversight of at least one (1) contract of comparable complexity.
Certifications and Licenses:
Active Secret Clearance
Valid U.S. driver's license
Active Material Handling Equipment (MHE) certification
Active OSHA certification
Active Forklift certification
Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
Proven ability to manage logistics operations in high-demand environments.
Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Experience managing large-scale government or commercial logistics contracts preferred.
Ability to work independently while providing leadership and direction to logistics personnel.
