Logistics Coordinator

Job Purpose:
The Logistics/Material Coordinator is responsible for supporting all logistics and warehouse operations to ensure the efficient management, storage, movement, and distribution of materials and equipment. This position plays a vital role in maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating transportation, and ensuring compliance with safety and security regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of daily logistics and warehouse operations.
  • Manage the receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials and equipment in accordance with project and client requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update tracking systems to ensure proper accountability and transparency.
  • Support the transportation of goods, materials, and equipment between warehouses, job sites, and other designated locations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, security, and environmental regulations, including OSHA, MHE, and Forklift requirements.
  • Operate material handling equipment (MHE), forklifts, and other machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of equipment, furniture, or materials required for project events and operational tasks.
  • Perform periodic inspections to ensure proper storage conditions and material readiness.
  • Support the development and execution of logistics plans and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Coordinate with other logistics personnel and government representatives to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution.
  • Drive government-provided vehicles as required for deliveries, transfers, and other transportation needs.
  • Provide prompt and professional customer service in response to logistics and material support requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in logistics or warehouse management, including at least one (1) contract of comparable complexity.
  • Certifications and Licenses:
    • Active Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain one)
    • Valid U.S. driver's license
    • Active Material Handling Equipment (MHE) certification
    • Active OSHA certification
    • Active Forklift certification
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and commitment to safety.
  • Experience supporting government or large-scale logistics operations preferred.
