We are currently looking to hire an IT Help Desk Manager to work at Tripler Army Medical Center, in Medical Center, HI.

The qualified candidate may complete both technical support and supervisory duties. Common technical support duties include but not limited to: answering telephones, communicating with clients/ employees, diagnosing hardware and software malfunctions, troubleshooting problems. Supervisory duties may include determining personnel requirements, setting schedules and insuring that those under their direction have adequate resources to complete their jobs.

  • Perform staff scheduling to ensure Help Desk coverage during normal business hours and on-call support as required
  • Coordinate training requirements of Help Desk personnel
  • Monitor problem management database and follow up with assigned personnel to ensure timely resolution of problems
  • Ensure that decisions made to improve the overall customer support of the Help Desk are continually carried through
  • Management skills are required to successfully perform the planning, directing, reporting and administrative responsibilities of this position
  • Ability to manage multiple high priority initiatives in a fast paced highly technical environment
  • Provide Technical Support
  • Diagnose and resolve problems related to PCs, printers, scanners etc.
  • Participate in team projects
  • Provide support and be the main point of contact for site-standard software and hardware

Experience and education:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer-related field
  • 5+years of management experience
  • Industry certifications as required
  • Excellent customer service skills
