Senior Sytems Engineer (Electronic)
Strativia is seeking a qualified Senior Sysytem Technician with and Associates degree in broadcast technology or related field and a minimum of 5 years experience to support our client at the Department of Energy in Washington, DC. The systems (electronic) technicians provide systems design and technical documentation, installation, component level repair and operational support for a wide array of electronic communications systems and equipment. They are proficient in the use of tools and test equipment to troubleshoot problems and effect repairs. They provide routine preventative maintenance for conference and TV production facilities, radio systems and TV post production systems and equipment. They provide fabrication support where required and install and maintain short and long haul signal distribution systems which utilize copper cable and fiber optic routing and switching. The system (electronic) technicians provide advanced conference operation services to support audio and video teleconferences, fiber hub network feeds, Video Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) and satellite television broadcasts. They design, document, install and maintain a web of intra and inter facility audio and video transmission sub systems at DOE/HQ in Washington, DC.
The incumbent must also be able to provide audio, radio, television broadcast, studio lighting, CATV, electronic and technical services support. Sets up, installs, configures, maintains, relocates, and/or repairs a variety of satellite, television broadcast, recording, cable TV, and fiber optic equipment. Must be able to troubleshoot systems and utilize associated test equipment and soldering/de-soldering equipment. Performs equipment research and specs equipment out to fit into its respected system.
